Because I have spent 9 years and counting working with the RCM in piano, music education is a big part of my life. Through the years, music education has enhanced my academic, social, and emotional skills, has put my emotions and my heart to good use, helps me learn new concepts every day and find new interests in music. Its importance in my life requires me to have a great teacher. I met Tracey Steele in early October of last year. It started off with looking for a teacher and ended with finding a mentor. What makes Tracey such a great educator is that she is warm, friendly, and motherly, but with high expectations and indescribable motivation for her students. Her influence on me was almost instant; her method of teaching with goals makes me want to be my best. Her tips and tricks help her students fly through pieces and scales with flabbergasting ease and passion, and interact with it like a soldier at battle, willing to tackle anything. Tracey has helped me feel music and welcome it with open arms. There's nothing I can't do with Tracey, and that makes me want to study music with her forever.
